Westover Teams Participate to Help Raise Money for The HEADstrong Foundation
Have you ever seen the show, The Amazing Race? The Westover Companies participated in something similar this year on May 30th, 2019! The PAA East and the Helping Hands committee hosted their annual Amazing Race in downtown West Chester, PA to help raise money for the HEADstrong Foundation.
About HEADstrong Foundation
The Foundation was formed by local Nick Colleluori who attended Ridley High School and Hofstra University. He was diagnosed with Diffuse Large B-Cell non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma, a blood cancer affecting the lymphatic system in his freshman year of college and started the foundation immediately after being diagnosed. The HEADstrong Foundation is located in the suburbs of Philadelphia, PA which is dedicated to directly helping cancer patients and their families. Every month, hundreds of families are forced to travel to Philadelphia for specialized care. Nick’s House provides complimentary lodging for these families. Westover Works Together
The rain did not stop the Westover teams from their continuous spirit throughout the race. There were various checkpoints and challenges set up throughout the main streets of West Chester. From hula hooping to Jenga, Westover did a great job and had a blast! The PAA East recognized Westover and awarded them with the “Best Team Spirit” award!
One of the Westover Teams, The Wolf Pack, came in 3rd place! Keep and eye out for next year’s PAA East Amazing Race!
